Taking hard to understand people and subjects and putting them in the public domain.
Research-TV was founded in 2003 when a consortium of universities, a research council and a regional development agency, led by the University of Warwick, piloted the use of video news releases as a means to communicate cutting-edge research with audiences around the world. By producing short video news items and distributing them to broadcasters to use freely in their programmes, Research-TV has been able to help over 30 research organisations communicate their research to people in more than 135 countries around the world.
Research-TV's service has developed in a bid to keep pace with the developments in new media. Now, every story produced by Research-TV is available to view for free on this website, on other online video sites (YouTube, Public.TV, OSTN), and also as vodcasts on iTunes.
With expertise in video communications, Research-TV's service has also developed from its initial video news release-only service. We now also offer services in:
- corporate, promotional or information video production;
- podcast and vodcast development;
- employer video production in association with jobs.ac.uk;
- media training;
- providing advice and consultancy in broadcast PR;
- connecting broadcast media with tv-ready experts (Experts Live! Coming Soon).
